Where is Saraswathi Musicals in Chennai?
We are at 4/6 Evening Bazaar Road, Rattan Bazaar, Park Town, Chennai 600003, close to Chennai Central railway station. There is two-wheeler parking in front of the shop.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 8:30 pm. The shop is closed on Sundays.
Do you sell South Indian classical instruments in Chennai?
Yes. South Indian instruments are our speciality: mridangam, thavil, nadaswaram, veena, tanpura and shruti boxes. We also stock the sitar, harmonium, folk and Western instruments, and electronic shruti boxes. Call or message us to check what is on the shelf.
Since when has the shop been running?
Saraswathi Musicals was started by Y. Balaram in 1965. His son, Y. B. Raveekanth, manages the shop today.
